About science garden activities relating teachers' opinions and students' opinions on science activities

Science, which is a sub-branch of science that deals with, scrutinized and reasoned about many subjects from the existence of the unimaginable universe to the complexity of the living body, is a course that contains the contents in certain indexes that individuals who will live in this world should know. This lesson is very important for individuals to provide meaningful permanence in their minds. Therefore, an education that is far from traditional teaching approach should be provided. This study aims to determine the views of teachers and students about 'Science Garden Activities'. The criterion sampling method, one of the purposeful sampling techniques, has been used for the study group of the research. The study group of the research consists of 110 teachers and 170 students working throughout the province of Iğdır and Giresun. The survey model, which is one of the quantitative research methods, has been used in the research. A questionnaire form has been prepared for teachers in the data. A readymade scale has been used and turned into a questionnaire for students. All data have been collected online from the web. The descriptive analysis method has been used in the statistical analysis of the study; the data have been analyzed by turning them into frequency and percentage tables. As a result of the research, it has been determined that the majority of the teachers have a positive view of the activity area, we put forward as the science garden.While the answers given by the teachers to the questions have been examined, it has been determined that they thought that the science garden activity area has suitable for the current curriculum goals and that they could address the 2023 vision goals and partially matched with the new generation questions. It has been determined that the negative thoughts of the teachers are due to the content of the curriculum and whether the durations will be sufficient. In the results of the attitude applied scale for students, it has been determined that the majority of participating students thought they could comprehend beter when the activity content has been put to work in science lessons. In this way, it has been determined that students find the science lesson more fun and motivated.
