Abstract (EN)

In today's world, one of the most important problems of environmental pollution is threatening the future of nature and human health. Especially with developing technology questions are increasing onheavy metal and radiation pollution known as environmental pollution. Therefore, in this research it is aimed that elemantary science and class teacher candidate? s knowladge level on heavy metal and radiation pollution is measured. Survey method was used in this research. Research was carried out in Giresun in in the academic year 2012-2013. The population of this research are students in Giresun University Education Faculty and the sample of this research is 377 students who study in Science and Class Teacher department in Giresun. Heavy Metal and Radiation Academic Achievement Test was developed by the researcher to collect data. In this research, from statistical analysis methods frequency, percent, mean and standard deviation analysis, t-test, Anova with Scheffé test were performed. It?s determined that the heavy metal and radiation pollution achievement scores of students indicate significantly differences according to gender, class level, department and following environmental problem sor not. It?s determined that the heavy metal and radiation pollution achievement scores of students don? t indicate significantly differences according to father education level, mother education level and their living districts.
