Abstract (EN)
In this study, the 3-8th grades of the 2018 Science Curriculum (FBDÖP) A total of 302 lesson outcomes at grade levels were examined in terms of 21st century skills. Document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. The themes used in the analysis of data are 21st Century skills named by the P21 platform. The data obtained were analyzed according to basic and sub-skill areas. In the research, all achievements were examined in terms of 21st century skills, regardless of grade levels, subject content learning areas and grade level, and it was examined whether there was a statistical difference between them. The most common skills were critical thinking and problem solving and information literacy skills. It was observed that among the basic skill areas, all sub-skill areas of Life and Career skills remained in the background. As a result of the statistical calculations made for the distribution of acquisitions to skill areas, it was seen that there was a significant difference in the distribution of skill areas to acquisitions. A statistically significant difference was determined in the distribution of 21st century skills in terms of achievements according to grade levels, without making any distinction between sub-skill areas. When we look at the curriculum in general, statistical calculations could not be made for the skills that are not or very low represented at different grade levels for all subject areas. Among these, communication skill was not encountered other than 2 acquisitions at the 3rd grade level, media literacy skill was not encountered other than 4, and leadership and responsibility skills were found elsewhere, among the findings showing that the number of acquisitions aimed at gaining skills was not sufficient. Considering the high level of developments in other countries in this period when we live in the 21st century and leave the 21st behind, it can be recommended to revise the Science Curriculum according to the skills of the 21st century and to organize the educational environments in this respect. Keywords: Science Curriculum, 21st Century Skills, Science Teaching.
