Determination of EİN use of science teachers: Aksaray example

In our country, the Education İnformation Network (EIN) application developed within the scope of the The Movement to Increase Opportunities and Improve Technology project is enriched with content and its use is increasing. Teachers using the EIN application should have the infrastructure related to the use of technology. In this context, it is thought that the EIN use of science teachers is directly related to different variables (gender, age, seniority, education level, preservice technology education, etc.). The aim of the study is to determine the EIN knowledge and usage status of Science Teachers working in schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Aksaray. The research was conducted in descriptive and relational survey model according to the quantitative research method. The universe of the research consisted of 200 ScienceTeachers, 130 women and 70 men, working in public and private schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the 2022-2023 academic year. The sample of the study consists of 65 science teachers, 50 females and 15 males, working in secondary schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Aksaray in the 2022-2023 academic year. As a data collection tool for this purpose, the EIN Knowledge Level and Use Cases Scale, which consists of 2 stages, was developed, after the scale items were prepared, they were finalized by consulting experts for content and face validity. The frequency and percentage values of the data obtained in descriptive statistics were interpreted by making analyzes with the SPSS26 package program. Although the result of the research showed that EIN was used in accordance with its purpose, it was seen that the frequency of use was not at the desired level. By examining the EIN site, it is possible to find solutions to the identified problems and contribute to the site's achievement of its purpose in line with the determined targets.
