Abstract (EN)
The fact that the financial preferences of individuals vary according to the situations they face is due to the changing world economy. In the face of this change, people are in the process of adapting to new conditions. In this study, it is aimed to examine the financial literacy and Islamic financial literacy levels of the academic and administrative staff of Artvin Çoruh University. In addition, it is also aimed to examine whether the level of financial literacy and Islamic financial literacy differs significantly according to the demographic characteristics of the participants. A total of 314 people participated in the research. As a result of our study, it was found that the level of Islamic financial literacy and financial literacy of men was higher than that of women, but the difference between men and women was not significant. It was seen that the level of Islamic financial literacy of married participants was significantly higher than single participants. It was seen that the level of financial and Islamic financial literacy did not differ according to age, but it was determined that there was an increase in the level of financial and Islamic financial literacy due to the increase in age. It was seen that the level of Islamic financial literacy of those whose income level is between 20.001- 25000 is significantly higher than those whose monthly income is 30.001 and above. It was observed that there was no significant difference in the level of financial literacy and Islamic financial literacy according to professional seniority. According to profesional seniority and professinal title there is no significant difference in the level of financial literacy and İslamic financial literacy while according to title of participants, it was seen that the level of İslamic financial literacy of administrative personel is significantly higher than the level of İslamic financial literacy of research associate.
