Özet (EN)
In modern engineering, space frame and roof systems play a crucial role due to their ability to combine lightweight, durable, and versatile structural solutions. Conventional connection systems often lack the flexibility required to withstand such loads, which may lead to potential damage. This study focuses on the finite element analysis of a four-leaf-spring-based system designed for use at ground connection points in space roof systems. The setup, constructed using four leaf springs made of structural steel, is bolted to a central spherical component and an outer circular frame. The mechanical behavior of the system under static loading conditions was evaluated by applying forces at various angles to the central spherical component. During the analysis process, load-displacement curves, stress-strain graphs, and displacement-stiffness relationships were developed to thoroughly examine the system's performance. The effects of mesh sensitivity on results, the role of leaf spring thickness on system responses, and the impact of arranging springs in a circular configuration at 15° intervals were evaluated. Reaction forces and deformations under different loading scenarios and system configurations were analyzed to understand the system's load-bearing capacity and stiffness properties. The results demonstrate that the leaf-spring system offers an innovative and effective solution for ground connections in space roof structures. The system is notable for its ability to effectively distribute forces and maintain structural integrity. This research provides a significant contribution to reliable and innovative ground connection solutions for space roof systems. Furthermore, the finite element analysis conducted in this study serves as a valuable reference for structural optimization processes. Future studies are recommended to explore the performance of this system under dynamic loading conditions and its optimization with different material types.
