Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY Computer-Assisted Approach to Physics Education In this study, firstly a review of literatür on using computers in education, particularly in physics education was carried out. Secondly, a logo-based lesson plan for teaching mechanic content was developed as an example. A survey instrument was developed and used with teachers working 'Curriculum Laboratory Schools' (MLO) in Turkey to determine the current situation in teacher training in computer-based instrument taken from preservice program or inservice program. This survey includes the following components: cender, attitudes towards to computers, classroom size, views about using computer, problems encountered in implementation of computer based instruction, lesson taken in preservice education and course attendance in inservice education. In this analysis process of the data, X2 technique was used to find out the relationships between the above items and the applications of the computer in classroom. The following result was seen as the most interesting: there was no statistically significant relationship between computer course taken in preservice and inservice education and current implementation of computer using in physics education. Key Words: Computer-assisted instruction, Physics, Examplary teacher quide, Teacher development VI
