Abstract (EN)

Fluorinated MPcs are currently receiving a great deal of attention due to their interesting electron-transporting characteristics. In the case of electron-withdrawing peripheral fluorine substituents, solubilizing the phthalocyanines increase substantially. In the first part of this study, dinitrile compounds contaning fluor group were synthesized according to literatüre. The second part of this thesis made use of the precursor ligand (2, 4, 6, 8) in the presence of metal salt (CoCl2) in a high-boiling solvent at high temperature, yielding cyclotetramerization of the precursor molecules to give the desired cobalt phthalocyanines compounds (2a, 4a, 6a and 8a). The structures of the synthesized cobalt phthalocyanines compounds were identified by using spectral techniques (IR, UV-vis, MALDI-TOF-MS). In the final part of this thesis, the new cobalt(II) phthalocyanines (2a, 4a, 6a and 8a) have tested as a catalyst for the oxidation of benzyl alcohol with tert-butylhydroperoxide (TBHP).
