Abstract (EN)

With the increase in population in the world, the demand for energy is increasing day by day. This energy demand was initially met by using fossil fuels. However, both the environmental damage of fossil fuels and the fact that they will run out one day have led people to seek alternative energy sources (solar, wind, hydraulic, geothermal, wave, biomass). With the development of technology, the most outstanding energy among alternative energy sources in recent years is solar energy. Solar energy has two different uses in terms of obtaining heat and electricity. The method of electricity generation from solar energy is made with photovoltaic energy systems. In this thesis, the equipment used in 1 MW photovoltaic solar power plants (solar panels, inverters, cables, construction system, transformer, transmission line and equipment protecting the system) and the system's design and pvsyst modeling were made and projected by considering the land structure, legislation and the location of the power plant. In addition, detailed information is given about the maintenance, repair, operation and cost of 1 MW photovoltaic solar power plant. In the design of a 1 MW photovoltaic solar power plant, choosing the right equipment, quality workmanship and assembly, and periodic maintenance and repair activities during the operation of the plant are very important in terms of energy efficiency of the plant. In the calculations, 1 MW of photovoltaic solar power plant pays for itself in 5.27 years.
