Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the electrical characteristics of the photovoltaic cell exposed to gamma rays by using Co-60 radioisotope were studied. The effects of gamma radiation on the electrical characteristics of the polycrystalline silicon cell were investigated in detail. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the changes in the efficiency of polycrystalline silicon cells exposed to radiation. Initially non-irradiated (0 kGy) silicon cell in dark and light conditions measured current-voltage (I-V), power-voltage (P-V) characteristics of the maximum power (P_max) filling factor (FF), short-circuit current (I_sc) open circuit voltage (V_oc), power conversion efficiency (η) were calculated. Then, for the 10 and 30 kGy irradiations, the same parameters were calculated with the values measured in the dark and light environments and compared with each other for the situations before and after the irradiation
