Abstract (EN)

Energy production based on renewable energy sources continues to meet our growing population that depends on increasing demand for energy. Not only energy production is significant but also efficient using. Recently, photovoltaic panels, which are increasingly used and extremely important, cause heating on the surface due to the radiation energy emitted by the sun and this warming reduces the efficiency of the panel. It is aimed to reduce this loss by using phase changing material with latent heat which is one of the thermal energy storage methods. One of the two solar panels placed parallel to the ground is filled with phase changing material. In this study, photovoltaic panel was cooled by using named calcium chloride hegzahydrate phase changing material and radiations, air temperature, current, voltage, power, surface temperature, efficiency graphs were obtained. As a result of simultaneous measurements, the increase in efficiency 2.95 %, current and voltage 1.46 % was provided.
