Abstract (EN)
In this study, the aim was to investigate the effect of participating free time activities on aggressive, violent behavior and hooliganism of football audience. 2625 football spectators, through 13 Suleyman Seba Super League football clubs from different geographical regions, participated to this study. In order to collect data, Aggression and Violence in Sports Spectators Scale, 21 items, developed by Guclu and Sanli (2013) was used to determine aggression and violent level of the fans. Additionally, Perceived Freedom in Leisure Scale, 17 items, developed by Witt and Ellis in 1985 and translated and adopted to Turkish language by Yerlisu Lapa and Agyar in 2011, was applied to the fans. The collected data was transferred to monitor using Microsoft Office Excel program and SPSS 20.0 program was used for the analysis of the data and for the comparison of the variables. According to the results, there were significant differences between genders, age, marital status, monthly income, weekly leisure time and level of aggression and violence in sports. Besides, there were significant differences between genders, age, marital status, weekly leisure time and perceived freedom in leisure (p<0,05). On the contrary, there wasn't statistically significant difference between monthly income and perceived freedom in leisure (p>0,05).
