Abstract (EN)

In this study, trajectory of a football is investigated using an appropriately formulated mathematical model accounting for Magnus, drag and gravitational forces. Both numerical and approximate analytical methods are used to obtain approximate solutions. In particular, a closedattention is paid to the trajectory of football under the initial rotational kick. The existing model is extended using Newton Restitution Law to account for jumps till the ball stops. Futhermore, in order for a free kick with barrier to target at a specified position, the initial linear and rotational velocity are studied interactively using a graphical user interface developed with MATLAB GUI.
