Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between performance parameters observed during 5v5 small-sided games and Loughborough Passing Test scores, along with multi-object tracking, selective attention, and hand-foot reaction scores conducted in a virtual reality environment. Fifteen football players from the Odunpazarıspor U16 team participated in the research. The small-sided games were played freely in teams of 5v5 on a field measuring 45x60 meters. These small-sided games were recorded from two different angles using cameras, and skills such as passing, dribbling, and spatial awareness were analyzed notationally. Additionally, players underwent the Loughborough Passing Test twice and the SensiballVR test three times. According to the research findings, a correlation was found between certain on-field performance parameters, Loughborough Passing Test scores, and cognitive parameters measured in the VR environment. In conclusion, the value of virtual reality is increasing in football by merging with advancing technology, offering a more effective and efficient way of learning and development. Particularly, it enables the creation of scenario environments that might not be possible in a normal field setting, allowing the measurement and training of various cognitive and technical parameters through repetitive practice. The results of this study indicate that integrating virtual reality into off-field training routines and expanding its usage could be beneficial for future football education and performance enhancement.
