Abstract (EN)
Vocabulary is not just words formed by certain sounds coming together. At the same time, it should be known that the material and spiritual culture of the speakers of that language are included in their world views, and that they have semantic depth such as idioms, proverbs, reduplications and reflection words. Due to the geography of the Gagauz people living in the west of the Turkish World, their relations with neighboring nations have increased, and on this occasion, new words from Russian, Bulgarian, Romanian (Moldovan), Arabic and Persian have entered the Gagauz language. These new words are also extremely important as they enrich the vocabulary of the Gagauz language. Based on this, in this study, words of Arabic and Persian origin in Gagauz Turkish were examined. Based on the words of Arabic and Persian origin in the Gagauz-Russian-Romish Dictionary (2002), which is within the scope of the study, firstly, these words were examined in terms of phonetics, then these words were discussed in terms of semantics and compared with Turkey Turkish, their common and different meanings were tried to be revealed.
