Abstract (EN)
As is known, equations involving gamma and hypergeometric functions are of great interest to mathematicians and scientists, and newly proven identities for these functions help to find solutions to differential and integral equations. Our aim in this study, based on J.P. Hannah's work entitled "Identities for the gamma and hypergeometric functions: an overview from Euler to the present", is to trace the brief development of gamma and hypergeometric functions, to show the close relationship between them, and to present their most useful properties and identities from the oldest ages to the present day.
