Abstract (EN)
The performance results of the companies are of great importance for the company themselves, public institutions, existing investors who invest in the company and potential investors who are considering investing. According to the analysis results obtained as a result of various methods, it can be seen how the companies perform from year to year. These performance results allow giving clues about the future situations of the companies. Ratio analysis is one of the frequently preferred techniques in order to obtain some results about the performances of the companies by mutually proportioning the financial status table of the companies and the profit or loss statement items. In this study, the financial performances of the companies were analyzed using the Ratio Analysis Technique formulas by using the financial table values of 9 food companies selected from the companies operating in the food index in Borsa Istanbul between 2015-2019. In addition, the Trend Analysis method was used in order to examine the trends of the interrelated items in these tables over the years, by means of the companies' balance sheet and income statement data covering the years 2015-2019.
