Detection and comparison of dos attacks in legecy computer network and software defined network

In this thesis, the methods of detecting denial of services(DDoS) attacks of software defined computer network(SDN), which have emerged recently are increasingly used today and legecy computer network, which have been used in all network architectures from past to present, are compared in detail. In this study, it is clearly seen that both computer networks have diffrent vulnerabilities against these attacks. However, with the flexibility provided by the programability of SDNs, it is more likely to close these vulnerabilities and ensure the security of the network compared to legecy computer network. This gives rise to the fact that SDNs will be more secure computer network in the future.
