Abstract (EN)

Accidents occurring in ship docking operations negatively affect the maritime sector and other industries related to this sector. Therefore, revealing fixed and variable risks in ship docking operations and determining up-to-date risk control options are necessary to ensure safety and sustainability in the maritime sector. In this study, the problems encountered to date in floating docks, where most of the ship docking operations are carried out, were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Fuzzy Fault Tree Analysis and Event Tree Analysis approaches were used in the analyses, respectively. As a result of the study, it will be possible to reduce accidents by increasing awareness of the clog problem in the ship docking operations examined, possible loss of life, property loss and environmental pollution will be reduced, contributing to safety in the maritime sector. Additionally, because of the study, measures to prevent accidents in floating docks were presented. The effectiveness of the measures offered for ship docking operations in floating docks in accidents was analyzed with the Evidence-Based Reasoning approach. Thus, a numerical feasibility study was conducted to determine what the impact of the measures would be if implemented.
