Abstract (EN)

The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between nutrition and exercise behaviors in young adults. The study was conducted using the relational screening model. The study group consists of a total of 1025 volunteer participants, 355 of whom were male and 670 of whom were female, selected by the convenience sampling method. The personal information form prepared by the researchers, the ''Nutrition-Exercise Behavior Scale (BDES)'' was used as the data collection tool. In the analysis of the data, the SPSS 23.0 package program was used, and t-test for independent samples, One Way ANOVA to determine the differences between three or more groups and Pearson Correlation analysis for relationship tests were used. The significance level of "p<0.05" was taken into account in the data obtained from all tests. When the findings obtained from the study were examined, the t-test results conducted according to the gender variable showed that the mean scores of university students regarding their nutritional habits did not have a statistically significant difference. However, it was determined that they had similar results. When the participants were examined in terms of the variable of taking a nutrition course, there was no statistically significant difference in the average scores of university students' nutritional habits in terms of the variable of taking a nutrition course. When the results were examined to determine whether the nutritional habits of university students differed in terms of the income status variable, it was determined that there was a statistically significant difference in the average scores of university students' nutritional habits in terms of the income status variable.
