Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research; Attitudes towards violence in dating violence of young adults aged 18-30 are predicted by attachment styles, romantic jealousy and romantic beliefs. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 398 people, 289 women and 109 men. Personal information form, "Experiences in Close Relationships Inventory II", "Attitudes towards Dating Violence Scale", "Multidimensional Jealousy Scale" and "Relationship Beliefs Scale" were used as data collection tools in the research. The validity and reliability of the data collection tools were examined and it was determined that these scales were valid and reliable. Necessary analyzes within the scope of the research were made with the IBM SPSS version 25.0 package program. The categorical descriptive statistics for the variables are as numbers and percentages; the continuous ones are given as mean, standard deviation and median, minimum and maximum values. Conformity of continuous variables to normal distribution was tested based on the number of samples. Data were analyzed by Pearson Correlation Analysis, Multiple Linear Regression analysis. The results of the study are summarized below. In the study, a positive correlation was found between the dating violence attitudes of young adults and their attachment styles (anxiety-avoidance), romantic jealousy and romantic beliefs (p<0.05). According to the results of the regression analysis; It is understood that anxiety and avoidance, which are the sub-dimensions of multidimensional jealousy, relationship beliefs, experiences in close relationships, can explain 17.7% of the variance of attitude towards violence in dating (p<0.05). Predictors of attitude towards violence in dating, in order of importance, are multidimensional jealousy (B=.27, =.30, t=5.73, p<.05) and relationship beliefs (B=.16, =.25, t=). 5.20, p<.05). The results of the research were discussed within the framework of the literature and suggestions were made for future research.
