Scope of this study is to examine on the relationship between emotional commitment and internal motivation levels of employees in Provincial Directorate of Youth Services and Sports and to indicate whether these two factors vary depending on demographical characteristics of employees. Organizational commitment can be described as employees' feeling responsible for and belonging to the organization they take part in and working within the direction of organization's benefits and working in full capacity for the common aim. In working life, if organizational commitment is high, employees feel their organization as their "family" and see themselves as an union with the other employees. On the other hand, motivation means individuals' will to do something with their desires without any outside effect. Internal motivation, however, can be described as the effort to prove individuals' self abilities. The scope of survey is composed of 526 employees working in Provincial Directorates of Youth Services and Sports in provinces of Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş and Kastamonu in 2016. Sampling method has not been used; instead, total of 526 employees have been aimed to reach. Yet, employees who have not wanted to take part in the survey and the ones cannot be reached have been kept outside of the survey. Therefore 358 voluntary employees have composed the scope of the survey. This study has been accomplished using the method of describing research. Scales of "Emotional Commitment" and "Internal Motivation" which have been developed by AĞCA and ERTAN (2008) have been used. Data obtained in the survey have been analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 22.0. For evaluating data, number, percentage, average and standard deviation have been used as describing statistical methods. T-test has been used in comparing quantitative continuous data between two independent groups, and Oneway Anova test has been used in comparing quantitative continuous data between more than two independent groups. Following anova test, Scheffe test has been used as supplementary post-hoc analysis in order to determine differences. Pearson correlation and regression analysis have been used between continuous variables. Obtained data have been evaluated between %95 confidence interval, at %5 significance level. Consequently, after surveying in Provincial Directorates of Youth Services and Sports in provinces of Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Adıyaman, Kahramanmaraş and Kastamonu, this study has proven that there has been a significant relationship between organizational and internal motivation. There has been a significantly high level positive way relationship detected between emotional commitment and internal motivation in research staff. Internal motivation level increases emotional commitment level, it has been detected that while emphasizing that gender and marital status create a significant difference between emotional commitment and internal motivation, they are not depended on employees' age, education level, cities, departments, title, seniority and experiences. Key Word: Commitment, Emotional Commitment, Motivation, Internal Motivation.
