Effect of burnout inventory and job satisfaction inventory on the emotional attachment of employees in provincial directorate of Youth Services and Sports (example of the Mediterranean Region)

In this study burnout and job satisfaction levels of personnel of Provincial Directorate of Youth Services and Sports are investigated on emotional commitment. The totally 450 participants are attended in the study from 8 located provinces in the Mediterranean (Osmaniye, Adana, Kahramanmaraş, Hatay, Antalya, Isparta, Burdur, Mersin). In the study, data were collected with The Maslach Burnout Inventory, Minnesota job satisfaction scale and Emotional commitment scale. In the analysis of the obtained data, frequency (n) and percentage (%) were used to demonstrate the participators' socio-demographic distribution, and Shapiro-Willk test was applied to determine whether the data had a normal distribution. In order to test the hypotheses, Mann Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis H test and Anova test were performed. The relationship between scale scores that responds to the scale of the participants to assess the relationship with each other was tested by Pearson correlation analysis. As a result, while there is a significant difference between participants' emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, personal accomplishment, job satisfaction, emotional commitment scores according to their gender and job titles, only there is a significant difference between the total maslach exhaustion scores according to their education levels. There is a positive correlation between emotional exhaustion and depersonalization and personal accomplishment scores and an inverse correlation between emotional exhaustion and job satisfaction.
