Abstract (EN)
The use of biotechnological developments in plants and animals has revealed Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). To reduce the use of herbicides and insecticides, prolong the shelf life of fruits and vegetables, remove allergic chemicals from plants and enrich the nutrient content, genetic modification is applied to living things, especially plants. Recombinant DNA technology allows this genetic modification to be replaced by specific gene sequences instead of random mutagens. Soya bean has a huge cultivation area in the world thanks to its satisfying and high nutritional value in terms of protein, fat, and carbohydrates it contains. Therefore, genetically modified soy plants produced by recombinant DNA technology are prominent. It has become the target of biotech firms to increase the nutritional value of soybean, less damage in the fight against pests and weeds. To protect consumers from the potential adverse effects of these transgenic plants, analysis protocols have been introduced by the European Union Reference Laboratories. Whether these protocols are reliable and accurate should be repeated and performed with inter-laboratory studies. In this thesis; event-specific real-time polymerase chain reaction methods have been validated. The protocols of MON87769 and CV127 types identified by the European Union Reference Laboratory have been verified and validated.
