Abstract (EN)
In this study, coarse root biomass (>5 mm) of pure Pinus sylvestris stands were invastigated in Tohumluk, Esenli mountais, Giresun, Turkey. A total of 45 sampling plots of which 9 belongs to site index II, 11 belongs to site index III, 9 belongs to site index IV and 16 belongs toz ite index V, were taken to determine coarse root biomass in the study area.Purposes of determining the mass of thick roots in the root hole the size of 80x180 cm from four depth levels (0-15 cm, 15-30 cm from .30 to 60 cm and 60-90 cm) thick roots (diameter> 5 mm) samples were obtained. For determination of the experimental area features mescere all the trees in the middle of the measured diameter and age, wealth, and mescere bonitetleri been identified. In addition, each instance relating to the field elevation, slope, cared for and coordinates field trials have been identified.Our results indicate that coarse root biomass decreased with soil and increased with stand age. The greatest coarse root biomass were found in site index II and fallowed by I and III.
