Abstract (EN)

This study was prepared based on the results of a one-year observation and analysis in order to determine the drinking water quality of Giresun province. In the study, water samples from 5 different stations were studied and dissolved oxygen, temperature, pH, salinity, TDS, conductivity, BOI, SRP, alkalinity, hardness, TAN and nitrate values which are water quality parameters were examined and comments were made about drinking water quality. Average data obtained from the study; temperature 13,21 oC dissolved oxygen saturation %95,74, dissolved oxygen 9,88 mg L-1, 151,95 total alkalinity mg L-1, 205,19 total hardness mg L-1, pH 9,42, TDS 272,21 gL-1, salinity 0,02 ppt, 337,49 µScm-1conductivity, ORP – 134,38mV, 9,28 mg L-1 BOI5, TAN 0,07 mg L-1, total phosphorus 0,04 mg L-1, SRP 0,01 mg L-1 was calculated. According to the data obtained from the water sources of Giresun province, the waters of the province which are in the class of cold waters in terms of temperature are in the class of clean waters in terms of BOI. In addition, it has been observed that spring waters do not have conditions such as deterioration, oxidation and decay, are in the class of hard waters and provide quality standards.
