Abstract (EN)

In this study antibiotic and heavy metal resistance levels was investigated of isolated Enterobeacteriaceae from retail fishes in Giresun.Total of 134 bacteria was isolated from samples collected from different fish market in central town. Antibiotic resistance levels of isolates was determined respectively, E (85.07%), CZ (79.9%), CTX (78.36%), CXA (71.64%), NA (60.45%), AM (58.96%), AK (53.7%), TE (47.8%) and S (17.91%). It was found that12 isolates resistant to all antibiotics, 11 isolates sensitive and 88,05% of all isolates MAR index values were higher than 0,2. In addition, all isolates of the Enterobacteriace were resistant to copper while manganese 99.9% and lead 87.2% were resistant. It was concluded that retail fish markets in Giresun can cause public health problems due to the not provided necessary hygiene and sanitation.
