Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY Stand Constitutions, Increment-Growth Relations and Silvicultural Suggestions of Pure Oriental Spruce Stands Near Alpine Zone in Giresun Region This research was done in order to determine the stand constitutions and increment- growth relation and suitable silvicultural treatments for Pure Oriental Spruce Stands near Alpine zone in Giresun. Twenty points were taken from two different region; 10 points from a place between forest line and timber line and others from a place in the forest line where the forests continue their feeble canopy. Horizontal an vertical profiles of stands in 8 research area were done. In sample areas parameters of diameter and annual average diameter growth were obtained and get related with regression equatios. Stand constitutions were examined by the help of diameter class-tree number graphics, height class-tree number graphics and age class-tree number graphics. In sample plots stand value classes were calculated and stands were evaluated according to trunk characteristics. As a result of this research economic value of pure Oriental Spruce stands near Alpine zone were found having rather less value than their conservation value. According to their trunk characteristics these stands are formed of trees having mill fuelwood product. Key Words: Oriental Spruce, Alpine Zone, Stand Constitution, Stand Value Class. VI
