A Research on historic urban district at Zeytinlik site in Giresun

A Research on Historic Urban District at Zeytinlik Site in Giresun Historic environment that reflects the urban fabric of the past periods are facing the danger to loosing their identity under the pressure of physical and social changes in today. In this context, the necessary documentation, analysis and decision stage for historic urban places and buildings that contain the authentic characteristics of cultural heritage have included and the this study, a case study of historic Zeytinlik district in Giresun, has four chapters. In the first chapter, the goal of the study and methods had determined to devote in existing problems. In this scope, historic environment, district conservation, district conservation plan and all aspects of the future studies in the field of conservation had covered in the same chapter. In the second chapter, information has given about the city of Giresun and selected historic district and detail analysis of this area in terms of the settlement pattern, architecture and social In the third chapter, an analysis study had done as a result of general evaluation based on data. In the fourth chapter, the suggestions conservation and renovation decision had given about me study area based on the finding of the analysis.
