Abstract (EN)

The financial factor is undoubtedly the basis of today's economic understanding. The importance of basic financial information is increasing day by day in our country as in the world. One of the most important current and new financial concepts that have started to surround the world until recently is the concept of financial literacy. It has begun to be noticed that every individual who wants to manage this grasping asset needs. The determination of financial literacy levels of entrepreneurs, who are considered to need financial literacy most, constitutes the motivation of this study. In addition, it is thought that the business performance of entrepreneurs will be affected by financial literacy levels. Accordingly, the aim of this study is to determine the financial literacy levels of entrepreneurs in the province of Gaziantep and to determine whether financial literacy has an impact on business performance. Accordingly, a questionnaire consisting of financial literacy and business performance scales was applied to 206 business entrepreneurs operating in Gaziantep. The hypotheses of the study were tested with the data obtained from the survey. According to the findings obtained from the study, the financial literacy level significantly affects the performance of the business.
