The relationship between perception of illness and perception of nursing care in individuals with gonarthrosis

This research was carried out in a relationship-seeking type with the aim of determining the kinship between the perception of illness and the perception of growing parental care in individuals with gonarthrosis. The data of the research were collected between 27 September and 27 April. The research covers the effects of receiving gonarthrosis and inpatient treatment in the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Center and Orthopedics service of Kırşehir Province Training and Research Hospital. 193 objects with gonarthrosis were randomly sent and included in the scope of the study, and volunteering was sought. Data collection process; Patient Information Form, Illness Perception (HAS) and Patient Nursing Care Perception Scales (HAS) were used. Frequency (f), percent (%), mean (x ̅) and standard deviation (SD), Mann Whitney U, Kruskall Wallis H test, Spearman Brown Rank Differences expenditure consumption were used in the computer environment obtained from people with gonarthrosis. Photograph of the individuals in the study who are the biggest spenders (77.2%) between the ages of 60-79, (78.2%) female, married, housewife, whose income is equal to their expenses, and they do not smoke or drink alcohol. It was found that the individuals participating in the study experienced the most complaints of pain (98.4%), not walking for a long time (91.2%), not being able to stand for a long time (89.6%), noise from the knee parts (87.6%), and fatigue. The sub-dimensions of HAE's views about the disease are age, job, alcohol use, knee surgery, assistive device use (p<0.05), education status (p<0.001), daily activity status, and chronic disease status (p<0.01). Disease causes sub-dimension of HAE varies in terms of gender, educational status, income status, daily activity status, diagnosis period (p<0.05), and people living with (p<0.01). The status of having surgery on your knee, the use of assistive devices, and body mass index (p<0.05) are effective in terms of variables. When the relationship between the sub-dimension of opinions of HAS about the disease and the patient's perception of nursing care is examined, it is seen that there is only a very low-level positive and significant relationship (r=.143; p<0.05) between the perception of nursing care and emotional representations. When the relationship between the causes of illness sub-dimension of HAE and the patient's perception of nursing care was examined, negative low-level significant relationships were found between psychological attributions (r=-.165) and risk factors (r=-.203) negative low-level relationships were found between them (p<0.05). According to these results; It is recommended that individuals with gonarthrosis continue their follow-up and treatment with a multifaceted approach by evaluating their perceptions of illness and nursing care.
