Abstract (EN)
Grayson Perry's iconographic analysis of walthamstow Tapestry business; in the perfective of this study, the concept of image was first discussed in relation to image-meaning. It is mentioned what the image is, what it represented in the early days, that the image is shown by paintings on the walls of the cave in the first period for the person whose purpose of existence is to stay alive in the first stage, that its meaning differs in time and it integrates into the structure of the society in which it exists and it differs in temporal sense. What the images are equivalent to in terms of meaning, that they are influenced by the production of society and culture, that the meanings of images represent war, power and victory, and that the images that had the same meaning before Christ has been used as evidence so far, that this thesis which was prepared to be displayed as a transfer in the global world is presented in subheadings. Secondly, it is mentioned through examining what artistic image and art are with terms and by commenting that the purpose of art is differentiation between cultures, but basically it is called as the sought for beauty, that through images and motifs, it forms the artistic image, that artist or art reader interprets according to meaning difference and that it gains meaning. That Artistic image is fed and traced from the society and culture it is in has been explained by visual imagery and supported with examples. In a third subheading, by mentioning Image-meaning relation in modern art criticism, H. Wölfflin 's view on the image, to work in the field of basic concepts, methodology and reason for artists to leave each other, the culture of the visual theme that is at the core of the work of art, about the historical periods,; it has been exemplified with his paintings, sculptures and architectures in the art of painting. that according to E. Panofsky in the iconographic analysis of image in painting, It focuses on the medieval, Roman, Gothic and Renaissance arts and its iconography, which examines its works in terms of theoretical and stylistic and methodological analysis methods in painting It has been mentioned. In another sub-section, Erwin Panofsky's natural comprehension and inner meaning of Grayson Perry's work Walthamstow Tapestry has been done as iconographic analysis in three stages by the analysis of the picture and plastic.In the section, the results, bibliography and resume are finalized.
