Abstract (EN)

The real name of Vâhidî, one of the poets of the period of Suleiman the Magnificent, is Abdulvahid. The death date of the poet whose birth date is not known is also controversial. HaĢimi from Bursa stated the death date as M.C. (Mohammedan Calendar) 985/ GC (Georgian Calendar) 1577, however this situation has been mentioned in Tuhfe-i Naili and Sicill-i Osmânî‟ as 975/ 1567-68. The information about Vahidi given in the collection of biographies and literary histories is limited. Abdulvahid Çelebi who was born in Istanbul according to Kınalızade Hasan Çelebi‟s collection of biography and Osmanlı Müellifleri, and in Bursa according to Beliğ collection of biographies, is the son of Süleyman Çelebi and grandson of Kara Davud Efendi (d. 948/1541), commentator of Delâ'ilü'l-Hayrat. He is one of the poets and authors of the period of Suleiman the Magnificent. Although he was initiated with the profession of religious education, he chose Islamic mysticism later. He participated in one of the 16th century religious sects called Zeyniyye and became a follower of Sheikh Abdulaziz Efendi. It has been stated in Osmanlı Müellifleri that he only had works titled Saadet-nâme and Şifâu's-sudur. This study has been prepared in accordance with the work half-prose and half-poetry including especially religious, mystical and moral issues which was called Gülistân-ı Vâhidî by Vahidi. With reference to the only known copy of the work, it has been analyzed within three chapters. In the first chapter, the life, works, knowledge and literary perspective of the poet have been analyzed; in the second chapter information about the work has been given (the title, the date of its publication) and it has been discussed in terms of its content and structure. In the third chapter, the transcript text of Gülistân-ı Vâhidî has been composed.
