Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to examine the trait anger and anger expression styles of wrestlers according to different variables. In this study, the "general screening model", one of the descriptive screening methods, was used. The research group consists of 100 wrestlers receiving training at TOHM and 100 club wrestlers invited to national team camps, covering a total of 200 athletes. The "Personal Information Form" developed by the researcher and the "Trait Anger and Anger Expression Style Scale (SÖÖTÖ)" adapted by Özer (1994) were used as data collection tools. SPSS 26.0 package program was used in the analysis of the data and the significance level was taken as p<0.05. When the findings are examined; there is no significant difference between the trait anger and anger expression styles of TOHM athletes according to the variables of age, gender, education level and sports year. In club athletes, there is a significant difference between anger and anger expression styles depending on the age variable, and it was determined that anger levels are higher in young athletes. In addition, while there was no significant difference between the trait anger and anger expression styles of club athletes according to gender, it was determined that there was a significant difference according to education level. Anger levels were found to be higher in athletes with lower education levels. In the comparisons between the two groups; anger levels of TOHM athletes in the national team were higher than national team athletes who were club athletes. The trait anger, internal expression of anger and anger control levels of TOHM athletes who have won international medals are lower than those who have not won. The external expression of anger is higher in medal winners. While the trait anger and internal expression of anger are lower in medal winners, it has been determined that the anger external expression and anger control levels of athletes who have won medals are higher. The anger levels of TOHM and club athletes with broken families are higher than those with nuclear families. The anger levels of athletes with good and moderate friendships among TOHM and club athletes are lower than those with bad friendships. Finally, it has been determined that income differences do not have a significant effect on anger levels in both groups. As a result; although the factors affecting the anger and anger expression styles of wrestlers in TOHM and clubs differ, it can be said that being in the national team, winning a medal, having a broken family and friendships have similar effects on athletes at both levels.
