Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to identify the social values present in Habib Bektaş's short story collections. In this context, value lists have been examined, and it has been observed that no value list reflecting Turkish culture and family structure, traditions and customs, and social life has been created so far. Therefore, it was deemed necessary to create a new list of social values, and a social value classification was created by taking expert opinions, and forty social values were identified based on the data obtained. The study, which aims to examine the social values in Habib Bektaş's stories, was conducted using qualitative research methods, and document analysis was chosen as the research design. The author's stories were examined using the document analysis method, and the frequencies of social values were identified. As a result of the findings, the values most frequently mentioned in the author's books were, in order, "sincerity, religion, and family." The least frequently mentioned values were, in order, "morality, altruism, and freedom." The value of "honesty" was not mentioned in any of the books. The data obtained from the study revealed that social values are present in all of the author's books. The stories he has written for children are particularly important in terms of the transmission of social values and values education.
