Evaluation of habitat fragmentation in terms of landscape planning, case of Bartın City

In this study, it is aimed to create planning decisions aimed at ensuring habitat integrity by addressing the issue of habitat disintegration in the boundaries of the municipality and the contiguous area of Bartin city. Efforts have been made to ensure the interchange of habitats by disintegrating and deteriorating, and the interconnection of lost or decreasing habitats. The resulting landscaping planning decisions have shown how the habitats are fragmented and continue to be fragmented. Landscaping changes fragmentation and landscape losses were also examined within the framework of landscape connectivity and the relation of habitat fragmentation with landscape planning was discussed in the city of Bartin. In this study, it was determined that transportation networks were the most important factor causing the fragmentation of habitats in the city of Bartin. It has also been observed that settlements and agricultural areas affect this fragmentation. As a result, how wildlife is affected and what needs to be done has been studied on different types of wildlife. With all the data interpreted as a result of the study, it was explained that fragmented habitats can be connected with ecological tunnels, ecological bridges, viaducts and green corridors, so that fragmented ecosystems can be combined as much as possible areas.
