Abstract (EN)
Islam wanted the learned knowledge to be useful, assigned various tasks for people of the knowledge and asked them to have some qualifications. Both the Qur'an and hadiths contain various narrations and orders in this sense. It is possible to examine generally these narrations and orders in three categories as "faith, morality and invitation." According to these narrations, the people of the knowledge should have various characteristics in terms of faith, morality and invitation. Among the features of the people of the knowledge's faith include sincere commitment, piety and resignation. The moral characteristics that they should have are more. In sum up all of them, we can say advice, calling for good, forbidding evil, spreading they knowledge and teaching only good things. These qualities which Islam wants the people of the knowledge to have, make the knowledge they possess useful both individually and socially. Because people of the knowledge have these qualifications, they both correct themselves and guide the society correctly. It is also important for students who are at the beginning of the scholarship path to know these qualifications and to work with them. This study examines these issues that are expected from knowledge and people of the knowledge under the categories of "faith, morality and invitation" based on hadiths. Keywords: hadith, knowledge, scholar, morality, invitation.
