Abstract (EN)

Fouling is the condition of living things such as shelled algae microorganisms forming a layer to resist the effects of water movements on the underwater part of an object (Kırlı, 2005). Antifouling containing substances are used on the surfaces remaining in the water to prevent the negative effects of fouling, especially in watercraft. The aim is to prevent the formation of fouling and remove organisms (Kırlı, 2005). In this study, the presence and amount of anti-fouling material in seawater samples taken from different regions of the Golden Horn Estuary were investigated. Qualitative and quantitative values of chlorothalonil, dichlofluanid and irgarol 1051 were obtained by GC/MS.
