Evaluation of guidance services provided within the Public Education Center

The main purpose of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of the guidance services provided to students attending the Support and Training Courses within the Public Education Center within the framework of Stufflebeam's CIPP model. Within the scope of the qualitative research, document analysis, observation and semi-structured interviews were used in the data collection process; the study group consisted of a psychological counselor, an institution manager and students. In the context dimension, it was determined that the students expected educational support the most, and in the input dimension, although the theoretical foundations were sufficient, material and technological support were insufficient. In the process dimension, it was seen that teachers were unwilling and lack of cooperation, and in the product dimension, students generally evaluated the guidance services positively. As a result, guidance services contribute to students, but various structural problems are encountered in the implementation process. The research was completed by offering various suggestions to increase the quality of the services in question. Keywords: Public education center, guidance program, CIPP Program evaluation model
