Reasons for attending courses opened at public education centers and examination of satisfaction levels: The case of Hozat Public Education Center

For this purpose, Hozat Public Education Center is to examine the lifelong learning scope, the reasons for the participation of the trainees to the courses initiated by the Public Education Centers and the increase in the user density. The situation with the research is designed in the relational scanning model, which is one of the good research approaches, as they are for determination. The research dimensions of the thesis consisted of 767 trainees who attended the courses opened in the Public Education Center in the 2021-2022 academic year (courses between 01.01.2022-30.06.2022), and the research consisted of 352 trainees who could be reached among these trainees and selected by simple random process methods. The data were collected by the Ministry of National Education with the "Trainee Satisfaction Questionnaire" and "Reasons/Reasons for Attending the Course", which were prepared and placed for the trainees attending the courses opened in Public Education Centers. Questionnaires Ethics Committee decision and necessary permissions from the relevant authorities were applied. Descriptive bounds techniques (percentage, frequency, mean and standard deviation) were used in the analysis of data obtained by questionnaires, Pearson Correlation Coefficient in examining the relationship between variables, and ANOVA was used to test the spread of the difference between the mean of three or more unrelated measurements. In the case of ANOVA test results, the Post Hoc test was applied regarding the assumption of which groups the difference was. While the result of the analysis showed the direction of the trainees' reasons for attending the course according to their average gender and educational status, it did not come to a conclusion between the type of the course and their scores according to the rates of attending or not participating in the course before (p<.05). Likewise, although the satisfaction of the trainees had a determinant effect between their scores according to gender and education, it did not reach a conclusion within the scope of other demographic characteristics (p<.05). In conclusion; Female trainees are more interested in the courses opened by the Public Education Center; It was concluded that the reasons for participating in the course (X̄=1.5) and the expressions of satisfaction with the course of the trainees were moderate (X̄=1.5), that these levels were not the expected levels, therefore, necessary measures should be taken to ensure that the Public Education Centers have the qualifications suitable for realizing their goals.
