Public relations in the context of police perceptions towards tradesmen: Şahi̇nbey county case

In this study, it is aimed to determine the factors affecting the perception of the police in the context of public relations and the tradesmen perspective to the police. For this purpose a survey on 205 participants carried out in Gaziantep-Sahinbey. The survey contains 20 questions relating to the police and police services. The questions are 5-point Likert type and are scored from 1-5. As a result of the study important results were obtained about which direction the police image should be intended for changing police-public relations. In the line with the assessment, it is seen that the public have confidence to the police and support the police. However, it is likely to tell about the changes that the police still bring a more positive overall image.
