Abstract (EN)

Akdeniz University Medical Faculty Hospital, Pediatric and Adult Hematology Service, Pediatric and Adult BMT Unit in December 20011-July 2012 in accordance with the work plan between hospital air, water system samples and determination of Aspergillus spp invasive aspergillosis cases were evaluated prospectively in the same term. According to the work plan of 14 months from 18 different regions and different regions, water samples were taken from the air sample. Eight months, a total of 144 air sample and 112 water samples were taken from. Growth of Aspergillus spp air samples was 16 (11 1%). Growth of Aspergillus spp maximum of pediatric hematology service corridor of the patients (37.50%). Air samples, A. fumigatus growth in sub-groups were statistically significant (P <0.045). Total seven samples were grown in the water system of Aspergillus spp (6.25%), six of them yielded the title of the patient room bathroom (85.71%), air and water contamination in the first place growths not suggest us to be in different places. The two sub-groups of Aspergillus same genotype A. fumigatus and two A. flavus isolates were, however, differences in breeding places of Aspergillus spp spores into the air because of the passage of the water system to support the hospital study, evidence is not found. Followed by eight months of the diagnosis of IPA in 17 pediatric and 21 adult patients group showed a total of 38 cases, follow-up of patients with the diagnosis of IPA was not proven. Growth of Aspergillus spp microbiological cultures of patients due to the lack of air and water samples taken from patients with Aspergillus spp reproduction explored the relationship between cultural reproduction. Patients with the diagnosis of probable and suspect IPA, air and water samples, statistical significance was not found in the cumulative percentage of monthly growth isolations
