Abstract (EN)

Employeesmaycomefacetofacewithmanydifferentdangersthroughouttheirworkinglives. Throughout the professional life, thesedangersarepossible, but aredetermined as factorsrelatedto the workconditions, physicalenvironment and the employeehimself. Inthesesituationsencountered in working life, takingmeasurestoeliminatethesehazardsshould be the firstpriority in orderto minimize the risksthatmayoccur. Eventhough the occupationalaccidents and occupationaldiseasesthat the employeesmayencounterdueto the measures not takenseemtoaffectthem in the firstdegree, it can be saidthatwhenweexpand the framework, bothemployers and business life and societyareadverselyaffectedbythissituation. Although the physicalenvironmentofferedto the employeesbyeachsector is different, the occupationalaccidents and occupationaldiseasesexperiencedby the employeesdiffer. For thisreason, it is importanttoconsider and treatworkaccidents and occupationaldiseasesdifferentlyaccordingto the sector and occupationalgroup.Becauseeachprofession has itsowncharacteristics as well as differences. Considering the healthsector, occupationaldiseases and occupationalaccidentsthathealthworkersareexposedto can be countedamong the mostdangerousonesthat can be encountered. Inthis sense, minimizingoccupationaldiseases and workaccidentsthathealthworkersmayencounter is of greatsocialimportancetogetherwiththem. For thisreason, the Occupational Health and Safety practicesimplemented for healthcareprofessionalsmust be fullyimplemented in allareas of the sector and allconditions as required. Inthisstudy, an evaluationwasmade in terms of Bayburt province in ordertodetermine the occupationalhealth and safetylevels of healthworkersworking in hospitals. Inthiscontext, a fieldsurveywasconductedwithhealthcareprofessionalsworking in hospitalsoperating in Bayburt. The obtaineddatawereanalyzed and somesuggestionsweremade in the field of occupationalhealth and safety.
