Air cargo transport and factors affecting growth in Turkey

People have had developing and adopting life to accommodate, they accelerated transportation vehicles. Due to increasing competition in the business world apprehen-sion and accelerating living standards caused the goods produced the fastest way to the need for being able to deliver to the buyer. It has been noticed that the air transport is the best way for the rapid transport requirement. Mankind that continuously develops standards for air vehicles began to use the air transport for mail delivery firstly. Since the necessity of quickly reaching news and important messages are inevitably used in this area of aviation. Afterwards the airline started human transportation and so aircrafts began commercial flights. Finally cargo transportation has begun to shift towards to airline. In this study, affecting factors to the development of air cargo transportation in Turkey were examined. Findings with regard to air cargo, have been evaluated via reg-ression analysis and tried to obtain reasonable results. According to the results, increasing the number of aircraft is an important factor to increase our competitiveness in foreign trade. Again, increasing the number of our aircraft will provide a positive contribution to the increase in exports. It is understood that the aircraft used in Turkey are accord with the latest technology. So fuel costs and other aircraft maintenance expense are reflected in a positive way with this. The development of e-commerce will provide a significant advantage in air cargo delivery. Cause of the advantage of the speed and comfort of air cargo will continue to be preferred especially in long distances. Key Words: Civil Aviation, Air Cargo, Aviation in Turkey, Air Cargo in Turkey.
