Abstract (EN)
This research was conducted to examine the effects of nurses' individual, professional, and work environment characteristics on their perceptions of talent management. The study involved 413 nurses working in inpatient care institutions in Turkey, and data were collected using the Introductory Information Form, Nursing Job Index-Nursing Work Environment Assessment Scale, and Talent Management Scale. Descriptive statistics, correlation, simple and multiple regression analyses were applied to analyze the data. The findings of the study revealed that nurses perceived their work environment characteristics at a moderate level, and their perceptions of talent management were low. According to the simple regression analysis, work environment characteristics were found to be the strongest variable affecting talent management perception, with an impact of 57.3%. Specifically, the subdimensions of "participation in management and representation power" (57.3%) and "attitudes and leadership qualities of nurse managers" (58.4%) had the most significant effect. According to the multiple regression analysis, the variables of working environment (general), type of institution (private hospital) and gender (male) were found to be positively influential, while the variables of professional experience, partial satisfaction (institution) and working night shift were found to be negatively influential. The total explanatory power of the model was found to be 60.7%. In conclusion, it is recommended to improve the working environment, support participatory leadership behaviors and increase the participation of nurses in management.
