Abstract (EN)

It is critical for healthcare professionals have problem-solving skills and strive to develop these skills so that they can make effective, reassuring, and high-quality practices, enable to find appropriate solutions to the problems that arise in their practice and to improve the quality of care. The research is in a descriptive and relational model that aims to determine the effects of nurse's confidence in their problem-solving abilities on their job satisfaction and organizational commitment and to reveal the relationships between these variables. The population of the research consists of nurses who work in a private hospital in the center of Kırşehir, agree to participate in the research and meet the inclusion criteria. The data of the research were collected with the introductory information form, Interpersonal Problem Solving, Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment scales. In the research, Structural Equation Model analysis was used to investigate the relationship between the confidence of nurse's in their problem-solving abilities, their job satisfaction, and their organizational commitment. As a result of the research, it was determined that the Interpersonal Problem-Solving variable had a high effect on the Organizational Commitment (γ= 0.82) and Job Satisfaction (γ= 0.89) variables. At the end of the study, some suggestions were made for in-service trainings, practices and different studies that could increase nurses' problem-solving competencies, job satisfaction and organizational commitment.
