Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between nurses' levels of technology acceptance and job performance, and to determine whether the levels of technology acceptance and job performance differ significantly according to socio-demographic characteristics. This cross-sectional and correlational study was conducted with 295 nurses working at Atatürk City Hospital in Balıkesir between March 28 and June 30, 2023. Data for the research were collected using a Personal Information Form, the Technology Acceptance Model Scale (TAM), and the Nursing Job Performance Scale. In comparing the Technology Acceptance Model and job performance according to socio-demographic variables, t-tests, Kruskal-Wallis H tests, and post-hoc comparisons were utilized. Pearson correlation analysis was employed to examine the relationship between the Technology Acceptance Model and job performance. Additionally, multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to investigate the role of technology acceptance variables on job performance dimensions such as coordination, help-support, colleague support, contribution to the institution, information provision, job contribution, and total performance. The average technology acceptance score of the nurses was determined to be 50.01, and the average job performance score was 125.62. The results of the study indicated that TAM intention significantly predicted job performance in terms of coordination, help-support, colleague support, job contribution, and contribution to the institution. Furthermore, both TAM intention and ease of use significantly predicted job performance in terms of information provision and overall job performance. In conclusion, for the effective use of the Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) among nurses, it is essential to meet their expectations and needs regarding technology acceptance. Systems should be made more user-friendly to encourage the use of HIMS, and periodic in-service training should be provided to support this usage.
