Abstract (EN)
This methodological study was carried out to determine the validity and reliability of the Nursing Student Academic Resilience Inventory by adapting it to Turkish. The sample of the study consisted of 250 students studying at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing between May and June 2022. The data of the study were collected with the Personal Information Form, the Nursing Student Academic Resilience Inventory and the Resilience Scale for Nurses. In the evaluation of the data, validity and reliability analyzes were used as well as descriptive statistics. It was determined that the adapted inventory showed a 6 factors structure namely optimism, communication, self-esteem/evaluation, self-awareness, trustworthiness, and self-regulation with 24-items, and factor loads varied between 0.346 and 0.819. The fit indexes of the inventory were χ2/df 2.294, GFI 0.848, AGFI 0.803, IFI 0.853, TLI 0.821, CFI 0.850, RMSEA 0.072, and SRMR 0.067. The Cronbach alpha reliability value of the entire Nursing Student Academic Resilience Inventory was found to be 0.887, and the Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the sub-dimensions was between 0.565-0.767. In addition, it was determined that the item-total score correlation coefficient varied between 0.344-0.597, except for the 19th item. Accordingly, the Turkish version of the Nursing Student Academic Resilience Inventory has been shown to be a valid and reliable measurement tool.
