Abstract (EN)

The research is methodologically designed to determine the Turkish validity and reliability of the "Quality Improvement Attitude Scale in Nursing". It was conducted between April-November 2022 with 519 nurses in three public hospitals and one training and research hospital in the center of Ordu and its two districts. Data were collected with the "Descriptive Information Form" and the Turkish version of the scale. Psycholinguistic and psychometric analyzes were performed on the scale. The mean content validity in the expert opinion is 0.87. In the first item analysis, items with an item-total correlation of less than 0.30 were not excluded since the original scale consisted of one dimension. Item extraction was aimed with factor analysis. In the explanatory factor analysis, 27 items and a four-dimensional structure were formed. This confirmatory factor analysis was supported by scale item validity and convergent-divergent validity. Factors are named as "Quality Improvement Belief", "Culture of Institution and Safety", "Teamwork and Collaboration", "Error Reporting". There is no significant difference between the test-retest mean scores of the scale and its sub-dimensions (p>0.05), there is a significant correlation between the scores (p<0.001). In internal consistency, the Cronbach's alpha coefficient of the scale is 0.93, and that of the sub-dimensions is between 0.72-0.93. The item-total score values of all items of the last scale are between 0.332 and 0.727. All items are interrelated. It has been determined that the Turkish version of the scale is valid and reliable in determining the quality improvement attitudes of nurses.
