Abstract (EN)

Architecture is a discipline that feeds from different sciences, follows technology closely, and constantly renews itself. Architecture, which was initially connected to the limited geometry of Euclid, has turned to non-linear, unusual geometries with the discovery of the computer. This orientation has complicated all architectural processes and has given rise to different design, materials, production and construction needs. Computational design and manufacturing techniques, are able to compensate these needs and make it possible to realize complex geometries. Therefore, in this study, all architectural stages of buildings were examined in order to understand the requirements of the production of non-linear, complex buildings, and detailed analyses were performed, especially in the context of structure and materials. In this direction, the necessary literature information was given in the first part of the study, and then 8 non-linear, award-winning and architecturally original buildings designed with computational design techniques, produced in the last ten years, were considered. The information obtained was tabulated and evaluated in the findings and discussion section. As a result of the study, it was found that each structure has project specific details and innovations, so it is necessary to use computational design and production techniques in the production of these structures.
